1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Vocadio app for iPhone and iPad.
Vocadio provides tools for creating decks and items, studying, taking quizzes, using notepads, working with PDF and Excel files, and backing up app data.
2. Information stored by the app
Vocadio does not require account registration or sign-in. The following information may be stored on your device to provide app features:
- Deck titles, descriptions, colors, and their items, answers, choices, blanks, and item notes
- Study and quiz progress, completion history, correct-answer counts, study order, and last position
- Notepad titles, bodies, formatting, and creation and modification dates
- App settings such as language, theme, view mode, and speech preferences
- The last display time and completion count used to manage interstitial-ad frequency
3. Local storage and remote transmission
- Core app data is stored locally on your device using SQLite and Hive.
- Vocadio does not provide a developer-operated account or sync server that stores your decks, items, study or quiz history, or notepad content.
- The app does not include your study material or notepad content in Google advertising requests.
- Local app data may be removed when you delete the app.
4. File export, import, and sharing
- PDF worksheets, Excel files, and .vocadio backup files may be created in temporary device storage when you export or share them.
- A .vocadio file may contain the decks, items, activity history, and notepads you select.
- If you choose to use a password, the .vocadio file is protected using functionality provided by iOS. The password is not stored in app settings, logs, or on a server.
- When you use the iOS share sheet or document picker, the file may be sent to the app, storage location, or external service you select. That destination processes the file under its own policy.
- Files you save or share outside the app may remain after the app is deleted and must be managed by you.
5. Speech
Study speech uses system voices installed on iOS or iPadOS and your device language settings. Vocadio does not record audio from the microphone or send study sentences to a developer server for speech.
6. Advertising and the Google Mobile Ads SDK
Vocadio displays Google AdMob interstitial ads and does not use banner ads. An ad may be requested only at designated moments, such as after saving items or completing study and quiz activities.
For ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency management, and performance measurement, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process approximate location inferred from an IP address, device or advertising identifiers, advertising data such as impressions and clicks, app and ad interactions, diagnostics, and performance information.
Google processes this information under its own privacy policies. See the current scope in the official documents below.
7. External links and third-party services
Opening support, privacy, or open-source source links may open an external website in your system browser. External websites and any service you select as a sharing destination apply their own privacy policies.
8. Retention and deletion
- Data stored on your device may remain until you delete it in the app or delete the app.
- You can use the data deletion feature in Settings to remove supported categories of local data.
- PDF, Excel, and .vocadio files exported outside the app must be deleted from their storage location by you.
- Because Vocadio does not operate user accounts or a remote storage server, there is no remote study data for the developer to delete on request.
9. Your choices
- You decide whether to use file export and import, external links, and sharing features.
- Speech can be turned off in the app.
- You can manage device settings related to advertising in Vocadio and iOS settings.
10. Changes and contact
This Policy may be updated when app features, third-party SDKs, or applicable laws change. Material changes will be indicated by updating the last-updated date on this page.
